Portsmouth drug-drivers banned from the roads - and shoplifter who took £1,073 of goods must pay £95

Scott McClure, 37, of Andrew Close, Fratton, admitted stealing £9 worth of drinks at Co-op in Tangier Road, Baffins, on April 21.

He admitted stealing 16 bottles of alcohol, flowers and 12 bottles of water worth £482 from Asda in Fareham on January 25.

McClure also admitted a £403 shoplifting at Asda on January 29, and stealing £179 worth of booze on February 20.

He must pay a £95 surcharge.

He admitted stealing £180 worth of alcohol from Sainsbury's in Southampton on September 19 last year.

Magistrates imposed an 18-month community order with nine-month drug rehabilitation requirement. He admitted failing to turn up at court on April 12.

Joao Ramalho, 34, of Howard Road, Southampton, admitted two charges of drug-driving in Brougham Road, Southsea, on November 22 last year.

He was caught with cocaine and its breakdown product in his blood.

Magistrates fined him £307 with a 12-month ban.

He must pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

Paul Smith, 54, of Waverley Road, Southsea, admitted damaging a window at his building on January 1.

He admitted two charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour causing fear of violence.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order with 15 days' rehabilitation activities.

He was fined £50 with a £95 surcharge and £85 costs.

Stanley Meyer, 33, of Colesbourne Road, Paulsgrove, admitted cannabis drug-driving in Anchorage Road, in Anchorage Park, on January 20.

He was fined £100 with a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

He was banned from driving for a year.

Jimmi Ryder, 27, of Maydman Square, Copnor, admitted being in charge of a car while over the cannabis limit.

He was fined £80 with a £34 surcharge and £10 points on his licence.

Macauley Day, 25, of Nightingale Road, Southsea, admitted cocaine drug-driving in Clarendon Street on November 29.

He was fined £350 with an 18-month ban, £35 surcharge and £85 costs.

Alan Harris, 40, of Somers Road, Somers Town, admitted cannabis drug-driving in Ashburton Road, Southsea, on December 31 last year.

He was fined £120 with a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

He was banned for 12 months.
