Portsmouth man, 58, injured after three thugs burgle his home while he is inside

THREE men are being hunted by police after bursting into a man’s home and stealing cash and a mobile phone.

The victim, a 58-year-old man, had his hand injured in the aggravated burglary at 7pm in Winstanley Road, Stamshaw, on Thursday.

He was in his property with a friend when the suspects went inside.

Police said all three are described as being black and between the ages of 16 and 20.

Hampshire Constabulary said the thugs were all wearing dark clothing, scarves to cover their faces and hoods or baseball caps on their heads.

They ran out of the property toward Stamshaw Park.

Officers have urged anyone in the area to come forward with information if they remember seeing men of the above description.
