A MAN has admitted possessing cannabis.

Christopher Carter pleaded guilty to having the class B drug on him in George Street, Buckland, Portsmouth, on April 9.

The 27-year-old, from Seymour Close, Buckland, also admitted a charge of vehicle interference in relation to a Ford Fiesta in Portsmouth on the same day.

Carter was given a 12-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was also told to pay £100 compensation and £85 in court costs.

Magistrates made an order for the cannabis to be destroyed.
