MAGISTRATES have fined a teenager for possessing cannabis.

Marco Dimascio, from Edinburgh Road, Landport, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to having a quantiy of the class B drug on him in Southsea.

The 18-year-old was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

He was ordered to pay £85 in court costs.

A court order was made for the cannabis seized by police to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 by Portsmouth magistrates.
