A MAN has been charged with producing £4,000 of cannabis following a raid at his home.

Mark Jackson was arrested after police officers from Paulsgrove Safer Neighbourhoods Team executed a warrant at a property in Winchcombe Road, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police discovered 18 cannabis plants growing in the back garden of the property.

A quantity of the class B drug was also found drying around the house.

Jackson was arrested and taken in for questioning by police.

The 39-year-old was later charged with producing cannabis.

Jackson was later released on police bail to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on July 8.
