POLICE found five small bags of cannabis on a man during a stop and search in Southsea.

Henry Willett, of Wallisdean Avenue, Copnor, pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug in Somers Road when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The 23-year-old was fined £150 and told to pay £100 in costs. The magistrates ordered that the cannabis should be destroyed.
