A MOTORIST caught driving without insurance has been banned from the roads.

Pawel Rygiel, from Hampshire Street, Buckland, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Vauxhall Vectra on a roundabout in Northern Road, Hilsea, Portsmouth, on May 21.

The 27-year-old was told to pay £150 in a fine and costs by Fareham magistrates.

Rygiel was also banned from driving for a year.
