A MAN has been fined for growing cannabis.

Mark Colwell, 46, of Gladys Avenue, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to committing the crime at an address in Meyrick Road, Portsmouth.

He was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year.

Colwell was told to pay £60 to a fund for victims of crime and £180 in court costs.

An order was made for the drugs to be destroyed.
