MAGISTRATES have fined a man for possessing drugs.

Richard Carter, from Ernest Road, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to having class A drug cocaine on him in Portsmouth on July 14.

The 29-year-old also admitted possessing the class B drugs amphetamine and cannabis on him on the same day.

Carter was fined £200 by Portsmouth magistrates. He was also told to pay £85 in court costs and £15 into a fund for victims of crime.

The drugs are to be destroyed.
