A MAN caught with an air weapon has been spared jail.

Gerard Molloy admitted having the weapon on June 5 in Southsea and to failing to surrender to custody.

The 34-year-old admitted breaching a conditional 
discharge.

He was sentenced to 90 in jail suspended for 18 months and put under supervision for 18 months.

Molloy, of Waverley Road, Southsea, was ordered to take part in a 20-session Thinking Skills Programme. The air weapon is to be destroyed.
