MEAT thief Ria Clarke has spared jail.

The 26-year-old, from St Mary’s Road, Fratton, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to stealing £75 of meat from Iceland in Edinburgh Road, Portsmouth, on October 10.

She also admitted committing the offence while subject to a community order.

Clarke was sentenced to 60 days in jail suspended for a year and told to undergo nine months of treatment for drug dependency.

Clarke was also put under supervision for a year.
