MOTORIST Martin Hughes admitted drink-driving.

Hughes, 26, of Folkestone Road, Copnor, Portsmouth, drove a VW Golf while over the legal alcohol limit on December 27.

A test revealed his breath contained 57 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Hughes was fined £400 and told to pay £15 to crime victims and £85 costs by Portsmouth magistrates. He was banned from driving for a year.
