A MAN accused of robbing a petrol station has been remanded in custody.

Matthew Perry appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday accused of taking £365 and packets of cigarettes during a raid at the Shell petrol station in Mile End Road, Buckland, Portsmouth, on January 15.

Perry, of Greville Green, Emsworth, did not enter a plea to the charge of robbery.

The case was adjourned at the request of the defence.

The 23-year-old is due back at Portsmouth Crown Court in June when he is due to enter a plea.
