POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a break-in at a city shop.

Officers from Fratton police station were alerted to a window being smashed at City Dyson, in Kingston Crescent.

They arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of burglary and he has been bailed until February.

Shop owner Ben Hughes said: ‘I’d like to thank the police for tracking me down and having our window boarded up. The new policies must be working because we have never had such amazing response from the police. I was dragged out at 2am and my shop was smashed up, but my main thoughts are that the police were brilliant.’
