SHOPLIFTER John Swift has been told to stay in at night under a curfew.

The 30-year-old was caught after he took four bottles of L’Oreal shampoo and four of conditioner from the Co-op in Northern Parade, North End.

And he stole three DVDs from Sainsbury’s in Palmerston Road, Southsea.

Swift, of Australia Close, Landport, was serving a community order for a previous offence at the time.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court. He will have to stay in his flat between 7pm and 7am every day for 13 weeks.
