A DRUG addict who stole to get money to feed his habit has been told to get help.

Paul Harris stole six handbags worth more than £400 from the Karen Millen shop at Gunwharf Quays.

The 33-year-old, of Regal Close, Cosham, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The magistrates ordered him to have nine months of drug rehabilitation to help tackle his offending.

He was told to pay £50 in costs but no compensation was awarded because the bags were recovered.
