Portsmouth shoplifters, drink-drivers and benefit cheats appear in court

Chemine Gladwell, 58, of Harold Road, Fareham, admitted drink-driving in Tangier Road in Portsmouth on August 7.

A test revealed she had 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.

Magistrates fined her £150 with a 20-month ban. She must pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

Ian Regan, 36, of Little Hackets, Havant, admitted speeding on the A27 at West Ashling on June 30 in 2019.

Magistrates fined him £80 with a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

He received three points on his licence.

Andrew Haralambous, 65, of St Anns Crescent, Gosport admitted driving while unfit through drugs on the M27 at Portsmouth on March 12 last year.

Barry Futcher, 45, of Blendworth Crescent, Havant, admitted driving an LGV dropside lorry with excess weight on February 20 at Ashley Heath.

Magistrates fined him £320 with a £42 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Magistrates imposed three points on his driving licence.

He also admitted not wearing a seatbelt and was fined £107.

Ross Hardy, 36, of Garfield Road, Buckland, admitted drink-driving in Victoria Road North, Southsea, on August 10 last year.

A test revealed he had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He must pay a £120 fine and £34 surcharge, and serve a three-year ban.

Terissa Davison, 50, of Victory Green, Tipner, admitted failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions she had a job while claiming Carer's Allowance between May 12 in 2014 and May 5 in 2019.

Magistrates imposed a 36-month conditional discharge with £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Sarah Thorne, 51, of Parklands Close, Gosport, admitted stealing batteries, Christmas lights and other items worth £41.93 from Lidl in Gosport on November 16 last year.

She also admitted stealing make-up worth £163.82 from Boots in Gosport on November 11.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge.

She must pay £163.82 compensation, a £22 surcharge and £85 costs to the CPS.
