THIEF Roy Wilce has been given a community order.

Wilce, 35, admitted stealing £288.94 of goods from Boots at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.

He also pleaded guilty to damaging a door frame, light switch and bannister at a flat in Arundel Street, Landport, Portsmouth, belonging to Radian Housing.

And Wilce, who lives care of Baffins Road, Portsmouth, admitted stealing £60 of goods from the Co-op in White Hart Lane, Portchester.

He was given a community order stating that he must take part in six employment, training education sessions and put under supervision for a year by Portsmouth magistrates.

Wilce was told to pay £200 compensation to Radian Housing, £60 compensation to the Co-op and £85 in court costs.
