SERIAL thief Jay McKnight has been ordered to pay compensation after admitting stealing from the same shop on three occasions.

McKnight, from Milton Road, Milton, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to stealing fabric conditioner, chicken and detergent from a Co-op in Sultan Road, Buckland, Portsmouth, in three separate charges.

The 30-year-old was given a six-month conditional discharge and he was ordered to pay £118.09 in compensation and court costs at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
