A YOB who went on the rampage smashing car wing mirrors has been given a conditional discharge.

Danny Hurdle damaged three cars parked in Stamshaw Road, Stamshaw, Portsmouth on New Year’s Day.

The 23-year-old smashed the mirrors on a Ford Fiesta, a Vauxhall Nova and a Fiat Uno.

Unemployed Hurdle, of Jervis Road, Stamshaw, pleaded guilty to three charges of criminal damage when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was ordered to pay a total of £200 compensation to the three victims and £85 in costs.

The money will be taken out of the benefits he receives.

The conditional discharge means if he stays out of trouble for a year he will not receive any further punishment.
