A THIEF’S pram and doll used to steal alcohol have been ordered to be destroyed.
Magistrates ruled that the foil-lined pram and doll should be forfeited and destroyed after shoplifter Anthony Martin was sentenced.
The 34-year-old, of Cottage Grove, Southsea, pleaded guilty to theft of two bottles of brandy worth £76 in Tesco, Southsea, on February 24.
He also admitted having an article for use in connection with theft, namely the foil-lined pram on the same day.
Portsmouth magistrates jailed him for six weeks in total.
Martin must pay a £115 victim surcharge.
He committed the offences a ‘ very short time’ after being released from prison. He got four weeks for the theft and six for the items, both concurrent.
