A THIEF who stole more than £1,300 of goods has been jailed.

Amy Carter, who lives care of High Lawn Way, Havant, pleaded guilty to stealing 14 blocks of cheese from a Tesco store in Emsworth.

She pleaded guilty to stealing make-up worth £1,300 from a Superdrug store in Waterloovillle.

The crimes were committed on August 3 and 4.

The 31-year-old was sentenced to 28 days in jail by Portsmouth magistrates.

No order for costs or compensation was made.
