A DOG went missing following a house break-in.

Police are seeking witnesses after a flat was burgled in Aldwick Road, Bognor, and a canine went missing.

A pair of Air Max 95 trainers were stolen and at some point during the burglary a Rottweiler also went from the flat in circumstances which are not clear.

The dog was found a short while later, safely tied to a tree in nearby West Park, and was returned to its owner.

A man was seen nearby running alongside the dog following the burglary between 10am and 1.50pm on June 11. He is described as about 5ft 9in, stocky, with short dark hair and wearing a blue jacket. Call police on 101.
