Purse thief told to pay
A WOMAN has been fined £200 for stealing a purse.
Megan Powell pleaded guilty to the theft of Hayley Lance’s purse containing a provisional driving licence and two prescriptions.
City magistrates fined her for the October 15 offence last year and told her to pay £150 compensation with a £20 victim surcharge.
The court heard 20-year-old, of Billys Copse, Leigh Park, has no previous convictions and is now turning her life around. She showed remorse.
