THIS rare dish is among many items stolen in a house burglary.

The silver dish is engraved with the words ‘HMS Puncheston’.

It was given to the victim in the late 1960s when he served in the Royal Navy and it is believed there are only about 30 of them in existence.

Now police have released this image of the dish in the hope of tracking it down. It was stolen in a burglary at a home in Keydell Avenue, Waterlooville.

Thieves also fled with jewellery after breaking in by kicking in a panel on a uPVC door at the back of the detached house between 11am and 5.30pm on September 28.

PC Nick Wisdom said: ‘This is a unique dish, and easily identifiable. If anyone has seen this rare item, knows of its whereabouts, or has information about those responsible for the burglary, please get in touch.’
