A CYCLIST has been fined for riding through a red light.

Killian Coley, 19, of North End Grove, Portsmouth, was issued with a £50 fine and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Fareham Magistrates’ Court heard Coley had failed to comply with the traffic signal on Fratton Road at midnight on September 30 last year.

The court was told that Coley was riding his bike without lights on the back and that he had received previous verbal warnings from police.
