A YOUNG girl was touched inappropriately by two men, police have said.

The 11-year-old victim was walking along Snowberry Road, in Newport on the Isle of Wight, when the incident happened.

Two men approached her and inappropriately touched over her clothing on her bottom.

They also made inappropriate comments to her.

The girl was not hurt and ran away following the incident on Friday, August 24 between 4.30pm and 5pm.

Members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been regularly patrolling the area.

Anyone with concerns or saw anything suspicious should speak to police. A spokesman said they have not received any other similar reports in the area.

The first man was white, in his 40s, had short blonde hair and was wearing black glasses.

He had a grey T-shirt on and black trousers.

The second man was also white, in his 40s and had short brown hair. He was also wearing a grey T-shirt and black trousers.
