A COCAINE user has been jailed for 28 days after he was arrested on a night out.

Daniel McBride was arrested in Portsmouth’s Guildhall Walk on May 8 for obstructing a police officer.

The 28-year-old was taken to the nearby police station in Winston Churchill Avenue and during a search police found six grams of cocaine and a small amount of cannabis.

McBride, of Queen Mary Road, in Sheffield, pleaded guilty to possession of a class A and class B drug and obstructing a police officer when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
