A TERRIFIED young boy was threatened and robbed by a man in Gosport.

The 10-year-old was walking from High Street in North Cross Street when he was approached.

The robber took £5 from the boy’s pocket before cycling off on a dark coloured racing bike.

Hampshire police are now hunting for witnesses.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Barbara Hamiliton said: ‘Thankfully this is a rare and isolated type of incident, but it was extremely frightening for the youngster and he was very shaken up.

‘We would urge anyone who witnessed this crime or who may have information to contact police on 101.’

The man was white, around 5ft 11ins, in his late 20s, thin, clean shaven and had short blonde hair.
