Robbers fracture man's cheek bone in Fratton

ROBBERS who fractured a man's cheek bone are being hunted by police.

The incident took place in Shearer Road, Fratton, at some time between 7.15pm and 8pm on Friday.

The 41-year-old victim was punched and kicked by three other men.

The victim suffered a fractured cheek bone and a cut to his hand, for which he needed hospital treatment.

A mobile phone and £40 was taken from the man.

Detective Constable Sharon Lewry, of Fratton CID, has called on witnesses and people in the Shearer Arms and the Shearer Road shop to come forward. ‘They may hold vital information about what happened,’ she said.
