A WOMAN was taken to hospital after coming off her scooter in rush-hour traffic.

The Vespa scooter she was riding collided with a Ford Focus at 5pm in Copnor Road, Copnor, yesterday.

The incident caused traffic tailbacks while police cleared the scene.

The woman was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with minor leg injuries.

The road was cleared by 5.40pm.
