A FIGHT has been launched against scam mail.

East Hampshire District Council is fighting back against fraudsters by joining the national campaign Scamnesty, which aims to combat scam post.

The council has set up a ballot box in its offices at Penns Place, in Petersfield, for residents to drop any scams they receive through the post.

Any documents will be investigated by The National Fraud Authority.
