A TEENAGER was hit in the head while playing in a park in Gosport.

Police are appealing for information on the assault in which the 14-year-old victim was hit three times.

This appears to be an isolated incident which happened in broad daylight.

It happened just before 5.30pm on Friday, June 12 when the victim was playing with his friend in Forton Recreational Ground.

He was approached by three men around 18-years-old.

One of the men pushed him and then he was hit in the head three times.

He suffered severe swelling and bruising to his left eyebrow.

One of the men was wearing a blue Adidas jacket and had blond hair that was curly at the ends while one of the others was quite short with a fuller build and ginger hair.

PC Dominic Quinn, said: ‘I am appealing for any witnesses or information relating to this incident to come forward and speak to us.

‘This appears to be an isolated incident which happened in broad daylight.

‘It is believed there were other people in the park at the time. If you have any information, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.’
