Second man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Portsmouth incident

Hampshire police have now said a 23-year-old man from London has been arrested following the incident on Saturday.

A 20-year-old man, from Birmingham, was discovered with serious injuries shortly before midnight in Middle Street on Saturday February 17.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital by the South Central Ambulance Service after officers on the scene carried out ‘vital’ first aid.

A 21-year-old man from London who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on February 18, was later released with no further action to be taken.
