A SERIES of burglaries has led to more police patrols in Hambledon.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following four burglaries in the village and the surrounding area.

Details were released after three burglaries took place from July 8 and another between 4pm on July 19 and midday on July 20, on Bury Lodge Lane.

A caravan was also stolen from Fareham Road, Hambledon, on July 19.

This was later discovered in Southampton and two men were arrested on suspicion of theft.

PC Graham Wren said: ‘I would like to hear from anyone who has information about these incidents. Have you seen anyone suspicious in the area?

‘If you do see anyone suspicious please record any car registration numbers and contact the police.

‘We’ve increased patrols but would urge residents to be vigilant and check the security of your homes.’

Anyone with information should contact PC Wren at Winchester police station by phoning 101.

Information can be given anonymously by calling the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
