'˜She left a little sparkle wherever she went' says grieving mum

Keziah Flux-Edmonds was discovered lying next to the bodies of her father, Darren Flux-Edmonds, 44, and two dogs at her home in East Cowes, Isle of Wight, last week.

She was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

A Hampshire police spokesman said a post-mortem examination found that her father died as a result of “ligature suspension” but the results for Keziah were inconclusive and further tests were being carried out.

Her mother, Nikki Flux-Edmonds, described her daughter as “full of happiness, life and a kindness and care for others beyond her years”.

She said Keziah was a “miracle baby” because she had been born prematurely.

Mrs Flux-Edmonds said her daughter had a passion for singing with an ambition to appear on Britain’s Got Talent to perform Katy Perry’s song Roar.

In a statement released through police, she said: “She loved to sing, dance and play, she was a member of the Suzanne School of Dance and she loved to swim.

“Most of all she had a passion and affection for dogs that shone from her.

“She loved school and had many friends. It was said she was constantly smiling and was always busy, which earned her the nickname ‘Bumblebee’.

“She was loved by friends and family alike and she would give you anything she had if she thought it would make you smile.

“Her greatest desire was to sing Katy Perry’s song, Roar, on Britain’s Got Talent and she would practice every day so she would be perfect and wouldn’t be buzzed off.

“She loved life and had so much to give. Keziah was my entire world and losing her has made my world a darker place and has left a void that can never be filled.

“She is and always will be a very special and loved little girl. It is true to say that she left a little sparkle wherever she went.

“I am proud to be her mother and feel truly blessed that this special, beautiful girl called me Mum.”

Detective Inspector Simon Baker said: “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and our specialist officers are continuing to support family members.”

Grieving friends left bunches of flowers and cuddly toys outside the house following the tragedy and people gathered at the property to hold a vigil after hearing news of Keziah’s death.

Mr Flux-Edmonds described himself as “temporarily unemployed” on his Facebook page, where he had posted a number of smiling photographs of his young daughter in recent months.

The tattooed father also posted a series of quotes about heartbreak and pain, including one that read: “Lord, my heart hurts right now. I have no idea what I need, but you do. Please help.”

He and his wife marked their 12th wedding anniversary in March but some of his recent Facebook posts suggest they may have recently split up.
