THIEF Benjamin Coates has been ordered to stay in at night.

Coates, 28, of Farmlea Road, Portsmouth, admitted stealing hair clippers and fly spray from Botley Mills in Botley.

He also admitted a charge of failing to surrender to custody after being released on bail.

Coates was given a community order stating that he must not leave his home between 7pm and 7am for two months by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was told to pay £85 costs.
