A SHOPLIFTER who pleaded guilty to committing 13 thefts in less than two weeks has been jailed.

Aaron Snell, of no fixed abode, went on a one-man crime spree, stealing wine from stores in the Fareham and Portsmouth areas between May 24 and last Friday.

Snell stole two bottles of wine in separate thefts from Iceland in Fareham, another three bottles of wine in separate thefts from a Fareham One Stop and a bottle of wine from McColls in Fareham.

The 37-year-old fled On The Run in Fareham with a can of cider and a bottle of wine in two separate thefts.

He also stole a bottle of wine from a Tesco supermarket in the town.

Snell also targeted Tesco in Cosham twice.

On each occasion he stole a bottle of wine.

He fled with £16.50 worth of alcohol from a Sainsbury’s store in Palmerston Road, Southsea, and £20 worth of wine from an Iceland store in Fareham.

Snell was sentenced to 91 days in prison by Portsmouth magistrates.
