SHOPLIFTER Joshua Potter has been fined.

The 22-year-old, from Henderson Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to stealing clothes worth £133.50 from the Marks & Spencer store in Portsmouth.

He pleaded guilty to taking makeup worth £123.57 from a Boots store in Portsmouth and £13 of clothing from H&M in Commercial Road, Portsmouth. The crimes were all committed on August 13. He was fined £120 and told to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs by Portsmouth magistrates.

Magistrates decided they would make no order for compensation to be paid as the stolen goods were recovered.
