A SERIAL shoplifter who stole more than £2,000 of goods in four separate thefts has been spared jail.

Kelly Nash, 32, of St Albans Road, Havant, admitted stealing £186.49 of perfumes from Boots in Fareham and speakers worth £989.75 from John Lewis at Cribbs Causeway, Avon.

She admitted failing to surrender to custody, to stealing goods worth £889.97 from Boots in Blackburn, Lancashire, and to stealing £138.49 of fragrances from Boots at Whiteley Shopping Village.

The crimes were committed between June 25 and November 19 this year.

Nash received a four-month suspended sentence.

She must have six months of treatment for drug dependency and was put under supervision by Portsmouth magistrates.
