THIEF Wayne Kirkbridge has been jailed by magistrates.

The 31-year-old, from Tennyson Crescent, Waterlooville, admitted stealing meat worth £36.84 from the Co-op in Anmore Road, Waterlooville.

Kirkbridge also pleaded guilty to stealing meat, cheeses and a shopping basket from the Co-op in Milton Road, Cowplain.

And he admitted breaking a restraining order imposed by magistrates last October.

Portsmouth magistrates sentenced Kirkbridge to 12 weeks in prison.
