A THIEF who stole £500 from the Bowlplex bowling alley at Gunwharf Quays has been told to do 100 hours of unpaid work.

Jamie Smith, 24, of Dunsmore Close, Southsea, took the cash from the till.

Smith admitted burglary at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was given a year to carry out the community service. The court ordered him to pay back the money he stole.
