A man caught stealing days after being released from prison has been sent back to jail.

Luke Thompson, 35, pleaded guilty to stealing meat worth £74.63 from the Co-op in Fawcett Road, Southsea, on September 8.

Thompson, of Waverley Road, Southsea, was on licence at the time he committed the crime.

Portsmouth magistrates jailed him for 58 days.
