MAGISTRATES have fined a man for possessing cannabis.

Terry Sharpless pleaded guilty to having the class B drug on him in Grosvenor Street, Southsea, on March 9.

The quantity of cannabis he was in possession of has not been revealed.

The 29-year-old, of no fixed abode, was ordered to pay £85 in court costs by Portsmouth magistrates.

An order was made for the cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
