Southsea man, 64, admits stealing wine and swigging a drink in Co-op shop

THIEF Neil Stevens has been prosecuted for stealing a bottle of wine - and then for drinking it in breach of a criminal behaviour order.

The 64-year-old, of Waverley Road, Southsea, admitted stealing a £27.85 bottle from Co-op in Albert Road, Southsea, on February 8.

He also admitted breaching his order by drinking in the shop.

Stevens must pay £27.85 compensation.

Portsmouth magistrates imposed a six-week jail term suspended for six months.
