POLICE have charged a man following an alleged assault at Highlights Comedy Club in Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays.

Robert Sizer is accused of assaulting two men on October 27, last year.

Sizer, of Northcote Road, Southsea, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm and one of common assault when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

The magistrates ordered that the 20-year-old should stand trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.

He was released on bail until February 27. Until that date Sizer must stay away from Gunwharf Quays.
