MAGISTRATES have fined a man for assault.

Glen Miller, from Astley Street, Southsea, had denied assaulting a man in Cross Street, Portsmouth, on December 5.

But the 31-year-old was found guilty of assault by beating.

Miller was fined £50 and told to pay £100 compensation by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was ordered to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £100 costs.
