DRINK-DRIVER Bryn Davies has been banned from the roads.

Davies, from Auckland Road East, Southsea, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Ford Fiesta in Lennox Road South, Southsea.

A test revealed his blood contained 90 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.

Davies was told to pay a £110 fine by Portsmouth magistrates.

The 21-year-old was also ordered to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.

Davies was banned from driving for a year.

The ban could be reduced by three months.

However Davies must first pay up to £250 and complete a government-approved driving course.
