SHOPLIFTER Paul Drury has been given a conditional discharge.

Drury, from Talbot Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of cider worth £2.27 from Asda at The Bridge Centre, Fratton, on May 23.

The 45-year-old was given a 12-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was also ordered to pay £50 costs to Hampshire Police Authority.
