A MAN accused of murdering Christopher Butler has appeared in court.

Brendon Willis, 32, of Waverley Road, Southsea was remanded into custody at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

He is charged with murdering 27-year-old Mr Butler, who was found dead at a shared house in Waverley Road, Southsea, at 12.35am on January 1.

Dressed in a grey jumper and tracksuit bottoms, Willis spoke to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court tomorrow.
